Superman (aka Bill Clinton) swoops into North Korea to save Asian-American Journalists

Little did we know that the wrong Clinton was selected as Secretary of State. Hillary Clinton, apparently laughed for being a woman, was ineffective in her talks with Cuckoo-for-CocoPuffs North Korean leader Kim Jong II and regime a few weeks ago.  So because she’s a woman, she returns to the kitchen while her husband, Bill Clinton, better-known-as Superman, steps into the spotlight.

The spotlight is on those nuclear weapons PsychoBabblist Jong II keeps threatening to set off. But it’s also on the two Asian journalists, Euna Lee and Laura Ling, who were caught, “courted,” and convicted in a case that broke land records for quickest trial ever set. In case you’ve forgotten, Euna Lee and Laura Ling, reporters for former vice-president Al Gore’s television channel, were arrested at the China-North Korean border and accused of “illegal entry” and “engaging in hostile acts.” On June 12th, both women were sentenced to hard labor.

American journalists working foreign assignments, especially in hot political areas, have had bull’s eyes on their backs in the past year. But Euna Lee and Laura Ling’s plights haven’t gotten as much attention as others. Let’s hope that Bill Clinton’s attempt at diplomacy to free the reporters does the job that Hillary’s try didn’t.
